JOB TITLE- Senior Business Consultant
REPORTING TO - Manager on projects - Manager / Senior Manager in house.
JOB PURPOSE- Responsible of providing business module implementation as described in the document.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible of project implementation and understands project implementation methodology.
• Advanced analysis of the client requirements.
• Defines the business requirements of the clients and prepares BRDs and gets their sign offs.
• Defines the business requirements of the clients, prepares the PA (Project Analysis) report and BRD (Business Requirement Document) and gets their sign offs.
• Develops advance expertise of iMAL modules and consulting practices.
• Provides system training to clients.
• Gives advice / consultancy to the clients in the business field for efficient utilization of the system.
• Assists Associate business Consultants and business Consultants to perform their tasks efficiently.
• Plans and organizes activities based on the priorities established by the client and/or management.
• Provides advisory and consulting services to the customer on iMAL.
• Provides all necessary data and analysis on the spreadsheet and ePath to Support Product Engineer team.
• Discusses and analyzes issues/modification from a business perspective to advise the clients the right work solution especially for the show stopper modifications without delaying the project implementation.
• Constantly reports the progress of the implementation to the Manager and escalates any issue s/he foresees.
• Responsible of testing new development / modifications related to the project.
• Troubleshoots and helps users in day to day operations.
• Executes based on the priorities established by the Manager.
• Establishes and maintains a good relationship with the clients.
• Communicates and responds to clients queries in a professional and timely manner.
• Applies business/ domain knowledge and provides necessary information to Product Engineer team. Identifies Gaps in iMAL and provides suitable suggestions to product management team.
• Works with the client to refine, prioritize and schedule all the Technical Assistant Requests (TARs)
• Follows up with the Escalation team for a timely resolution of the TARs.
• Communicates information directly and clearly. Checks for clarity and understanding during a conversation with internal and external clients using active feedback, reflection, and other communication techniques.
• Be proactive in identifying problems and risks before it occurs and escalates critical issues and project risks to the manager proposing solutions on how to mitigate them.
• Assists the client in preparing/reviewing the client work procedures.
• Prepares well-structured quality official documentation (work procedures, presentations, etc.) to be submitted to Client or for internal use. • Promotes teamwork and cooperation within the team and other departments.
• Should be able to manage customer expectations and escalations.
• Prepares and maintains records of respective activities as per the responsibility of senior business consultant as specified in Path Solutions QMS.
• Respects and obeys company rules, policies and procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS & COMPENTENCY SKILLS
• A BS in banking, finance or business is required Master degree is a plus.
• More than 6 years of experience in the fields of banking, audit or finance is a plus.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as Business Consultant (II) is mandatory.
• Very good knowledge of iMAL applications (general business knowledge about entire iMAL modules and 80% business and application knowledge about minimum 8 iMAL modules).
• Islamic banking and application knowledge is mandatory.
• Should have good verbal and written communication skills.
• Must have ability for critical and analytical thinking.
• Be a good problem detector and solver.
• Ability to manage a small team.
• Ability to operate comfortably in high stress situations.
• Should be able to establish and maintain a professional relationship with the clients and team members.
• Respect others, active listener, motivated, willing to learn new skills
• Ready to travel to clients’ site as and when needed.
• Ability to generate additional revenues to the Department.
